When I was a senior at North High I had a lot of friends who were seniors at South High. During the rival high-school basketball game at the Armory, I sat with my North High friends until halftime. Then I pretended I was running to the bathroom when instead I went over to the South High cheerleading team to do a choreographed dance with the other South High students. At the end we formed the word “South” on the floor. I was the top of the ‘H’ facing my North High friends smiling and waving. They were yelling “traitor” at me. It was so much fun.
